Ranch Hand Records is! Let’s ALL plan to go to the Fall Alt-Fest at Luna Azul Farms!
4+ hours of original music from all over central VA, featuring Ranch Hand Records Artists ToBe Fare and RHR’s newest signing: Staunton’s own Shoegaze Reverb Rockers --Bremen! Opening up is Katrina Starfish, a hotly rising eclectic solo multi-instrumentalist, with serious chops and a very exceptional look on life to share. Rounding out the day is C’ville’s own Girl Choir celebrating their newest release: Another Side of Girl Choir available on BandCamp.
The happening will be at Luna Azul Farms, a fabulous “venue” that has been host to multiple shows by well known local and regional groups, (one at a time) but has been gracious enough to let us come in and make a big deal with multiple bands. We use quotes on “venue” because this is really just a farm with an owner that really likes to host musicians, and because of such, most of the accoutrements of a big show will not be present, such as: $10 beers, $20 burgers, $50 tickets. What will be the norm of the day: BYOB, picnics and pay what you can “tickets.”

BREMEN
shoegaze reverb rock
Staunton's BREMEN has caused quite a stir in the short time that they have been playing live, drawing sizable crowds in the Valley, and they agreed to make their way over the mountain to hang with the folks in Fluvanna!
Their music is easily described with the terms: spacey, swirly curvy, and they particularly like the term "Shoegaze" .
They are also the latest addition to Ranch Hand Records, bringing a little Reverb to the Ranch with their as yet untitled first album due out right around the time of Alt-Fest (Release date TBA)

From a Whisper to a Scream. Palmyra's ToBe Fare is 21st century rock with pop sensibilities. Passion stands at its forefront, riding on top of singable melodies and the occasional anthem. ToBe fare tries to bring a little positivity along for the ride. TBF is a little bit of everything in a rock sandwich: loud post blues, post emo, post punk, you know, rock -- Just don't call them "classic."
Girl Choir

Katrina Starfish
Eclectic solo multi-intrumentalist
Clarinet, keys, voice, guitar, bass, percussion. Rockbridge's own Katrina Starfish plays them all , sometimes in the same song! Jazz, folk, reggae, rock --Katrina will take you on a journey to wherever you wish to go.
